From the Masters set to the hundred million sets, and then from the drama series to the hundred million episodes, the already pitiful sleep time is even more negligible in the face of these damned temptations.

The result is clear to everyone, from the alarm clock struggling to ask for leave and resign, to stepping into the company's door on time and pouring coffee to refresh your life.

In fact, no matter whether you slept well or not last night, more and more people will choose to wake up with a cup of coffee to start the day. And this kind of behavior has gradually become a morning routine.

But have you had breakfast before doing this routine?

Many studies on coffee and health have mentioned the health benefits of eating coffee, but people only focus on one-sided information, not all of it.

A study funded by the University of Bath (University of Bath) in the UK aims to figure out how sleep, blood sugar and coffee interact in the body, according to CNN.

In the study, researchers at the University of Bath (University of Bath) asked 29 healthy men and women to participate in three different overnight experiments.

In the first assessment, participants had a normal amount of sleep, from 11:00 to 7 a.m. the next day, and were asked to wake up with sugary drinks.

Then, in the second assessment, the participants' sleep was interrupted by a message every other hour, and in order to ensure that the sleep was really interrupted, the participants needed to reply to the message, which took about five minutes. They were asked to eat the same sugary drinks at the end of the sleep cycle.

In the third assessment, participants experienced the same nocturnal sleep interruption as in the second assessment. Instead, participants were asked to drink a cup of black coffee 30 minutes before consuming a sugary drink.

After comparing the results of the three assessments, the researchers found that although a night's sleep interruption did not affect participants' blood sugar and insulin response compared with normal sleep, drinking a cup of coffee before eating significantly increased the negative reaction of blood sugar by about 50%.

The researchers noticed that if you had low carbohydrates in your breakfast, your blood sugar peak decreased after drinking coffee. Based on their findings, the researchers recommend that people eat a carbohydrate-rich breakfast at least an hour after drinking coffee.

Although it is the conclusion of authoritative experimental data, the code workers also lead by example for several years to have a cup of coffee before going out for breakfast, which is not necessarily uncomfortable.

There will always be some studies saying that it is bad for the heart, others saying that it is good for the heart, and whether coffee is good for the body has always been a major debate in the medical community. A review of the scientific literature on coffee published in the British Medical Journal (British Medical Journal) in 2017 found that drinking three to four cups of black coffee a day was generally the most beneficial to health.

Then someone asks how many milliliters three or four cups are, and the typists always take the trouble to move out the FDA to recommend that healthy adults consume no more than 400mg of caffeine a day. What about caffeine? simple! Two formulas are basically enough:

Extraction rate = weight of coffee extract × concentration of extraction solution (TDS) / weight of coffee powder

Caffeine content = weight of coffee powder × extraction rate × 1.2%

From the above two formulas, you can get a rough idea of how much caffeine is in the cup of black coffee in your hand.

Finally, you have to ask the usual question, are you used to drinking coffee before or after breakfast?
