What are the taste characteristics and functions of Yunnan Yunnan Red Tea?
If you are used to drinking mixed tea or Assam tea in the morning, Yunnan black tea may surprise you. Yunnan tea boasts a higher sweetness and a completely different taste, and Yunnan tea can be a perfect dessert tea, and a perfect choice for soothing afternoon cups.
Yunnan has thousands of kinds of tea, each different, but taste different. In other words, you know it's Yunnan when you taste it. Find out what Yunnan Chinese black tea is, how much caffeine it contains, and what potential benefits it has.
What is Yunnan Tea?
Yunnan tea refers to any tea produced in Yunnan Province, China. The province grows many fine teas, including the famous black tea Pu 'er tea, some green tea, white tea, and even oolong tea. The most popular are white tea, black tea and Pu 'er tea.
However, beneath the Yunnan tea name, the most hidden is a black Yunnan tea. Dianhong actually refers to black tea from Yunnan and is now used to refer to most of Yunnan's black tea. The Chinese word "Dian" is an abbreviation for Yunnan Province, and "black tea" means black tea, or black tea as it is called in Western countries.
Yunnan black tea usually tastes strong, but with a honey-like sweetness, taste complex. They have a light smoky and earthy flavor, sweeter than other black teas, and may have flavors of honey, tobacco, malt and chocolate. In fact, the chocolate flavor in Yunnan tea is so strong that you would think you were drinking flavored tea.
Unique Tea Varieties
Unlike most Chinese green teas, Yunnan black tea (or green tea) is mainly made from three different tea trees-Tari tea tree, Tari tea tree and hybrid tea tree of Tari tea tree and Assam tea tree. This is the first sign of how special they are. While generally all tea comes from tea trees, some real tea may also come from different tea plants-such as Yunnan tea's tea tree.
the amount of caffeine
In general, Yunnan tea may contain less caffeine than crushed Assam black tea. However, it is difficult to say how much caffeine each cup of coffee contains. These levels depend on many factors, such as the tea plant used to make tea, growing conditions, how young/mature the leaves are, how they are processed, and finally how you make tea. You might expect a cup of Yunnan black tea to contain 30-60 mg of caffeine, but don't take that number as a definitive amount.
Yunnan is also home to the most beautiful black tea. Most of them are covered with golden hair and look very different from ordinary black tea. The more golden hairs Yunnan tea has, the higher the caffeine content. Flower buds contain more caffeine than mature leaves. However, Yunnan tea has less broken tea than Assam tea. This also plays a role in the final caffeine content. Therefore, breakfast tea in general, especially a blend of small particles and Assam tea in a tea bag, is likely to contain more caffeine than Yunnan tea in bulk.
Benefits of drinking Yunnan tea
Yunnan black tea is similar to other black tea. In addition, the exact location where tea is grown will affect the overall levels of beneficial compounds. Black tea can help lower blood sugar, bad cholesterol, improve blood pressure, reduce inflammation, provide anti-cancer benefits and lower the risk of heart disease.
How to brew Yunnan tea
You can brew Yunnan tea using the Eastern and Western brewing methods. If you really want to experience what these teas have to offer, you can use the multiple steeping technique, starting with steeping for 20-30 seconds and increasing the length of each infusion. Add 4-6 grams of tea to every 150 ml of water. When preheating the tea set, be sure to use freshly boiled spring water and let it cool for a few seconds. Pour boiling water into an empty teapot, and after a few seconds pour it out to preheat. Preheating the tea set will also give you a chance to experience the strong smell of dried leaves.
Yunnan black tea is brewed in the western way, using about 2-3 grams of tea per cup of water. Bring the water to a boil and cool for a few seconds. The temperature should be somewhere between 208 and 210 degrees Fahrenheit. Soak for 2-3 minutes. You can try to reuse the same leaves more than once or twice.
Although you can also use boiling water, it is best to let it cool for a few seconds before making tea.
How does Yunnan tea taste?
Most Yunnan black tea is unlikely to be bitter, even when drunk too much. It is always a good idea to try different soaking times, leaf to water ratios and water temperatures. Unlike Assam tea, Yunnan tea may give a cup of tea a golden yellow and orange-red hue. The color is very different from the brownish red of Qimen tea or the red of Assam tea. Those teas with more buds, or good loose-leaf teas made only from buds, are likely to taste sweet and smooth, and are better enjoyed slowly than with a quick cup of morning tea. Yunnan tea is usually full-bodied, but mellow and smooth.
