According to the news, the Beijing Fengtai market has investigated and dealt with 21 tea shops suspected of trademark infringement.

The Fengtai District Market Regulatory Bureau launched a special law enforcement operation called "Iron fist net Sword" on Aug. 12, in which 21 fake tea shops with "coco" signs were investigated, according to Sina Finance and the Beijing News.

Here's the thing:

Some customers complained about gastrointestinal discomfort after drinking CoCo milk tea, a well-known chain, but the brand said consumers were buying "fakes".

For example, a tea shop called "CoCo JOANNA" is a "fake".

In the package shown below, the authentic "CoCo Duke" has an elf head, while the shanzhai version of the packaging imitates the packaging of "CoCo Duke". It has a high degree of recognition, but there is no logo of the "CoCo Duke" spirit head.

In terms of product quality, the "CoCo can" brand said that all its products, especially pearls and teas, are freshly boiled tea.

The fake version of the tea made by the milk tea shop is mainly made of powder, there is no current cooking to do this process, the production process is also very simple.

There are more than 100 fake "CoCo" tea shops in Beijing, and the quality of the products in fake shops is difficult to guarantee, so there are great differences in taste and health, according to the brand side of "CoCo Duke".

At present, the 21 tea shops were put on file for investigation on the morning of the 12th and imposed administrative penalties in accordance with the law.

Law enforcement officials of the Fengtai District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau respectively carried out on-site law enforcement on the 21 tea shops and seized a total of 3984 suspected infringing articles, such as beverage cups, straws, packaging bags, and film mulching.

However, this is not the first time CoCo Duke has been pirated.

In April this year, Shanghai Putuo District Market Regulatory Bureau also investigated and dealt with 21 fake CoCo milk tea stores.

Then the news quickly landed on the Weibo hot search list, saw this hot search list, "CoCo can" officials said helplessly: did not expect to go up the hot search in such a way.

Among the 21 fake CoCo milk tea stores, 19 operators obtained the right to use the trademark of "CoCo&Lucky" by joining.

However, the survey results show that the 19 operators do not standardize the use of the trademark "CoCo&Lucky". For example, by highlighting the use of the word "COCO" in stores and milk teacups, consumers mistakenly think that there is a certain connection between their products and "CoCo".

As a result, law enforcement officials imposed administrative penalties totaling 1.0647 million yuan on the parties involved in the 21 fake milk tea shops.

What is noteworthy is that the scale of the tea market has reached hundreds of billions, and the data show that it is expected to expand to 810.1 billion yuan by 2025.

Under the background of large demand for tea, low threshold and high profits, there will naturally be a lot of entrepreneurs to join, but at the same time, they will also face many problems, such as some unscrupulous merchants take a fancy to the "fame" advantages of some tea brands and use shops with similar names to "rub the heat", so as to enhance their own brand awareness, however, whether it is to the authentic brand side or the fake version itself. Or as far as consumers are concerned, it is actually a kind of harm.
