What is the difference between Yunnan Yunnan black tea and Yunnan Pu 'er tea? Where to buy authentic Yunnan tea?
Welcome to beautiful Yunnan Province, this is our fourth and last virtual trip to one of the major tea producing areas in China. Yunnan is an inland province in southwest China, bordering China's Guangxi, Guizhou and Sichuan, as well as Xizang, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam. Kunming, the capital of Yunnan, has a population of nearly 50 million and its population is very diverse. In fact, Yunnan is one of the provinces with the most diverse ethnic minorities in China, with ethnic minorities accounting for about 34% of the total population. The diversity of Yunnan is not limited to its people. Its geographical location includes the snow-capped mountains in the northwest and the subtropical low-altitude areas in the southeast. Because of its different environmental regions, Yunnan also has incredible species and vegetation types. Although the province covers less than 4% of China's land area, it has more than 40% of the country's protected plant species and more than 70% of the protected wildlife. Three parallel rivers (the Yangtze River, the Mekong River and the Nujiang River) flow through Yunnan, separated by high mountains, creating many unique ecosystems. The beautiful scenery of Yunnan makes it a popular tourist destination. Unlike the special cuisine of other provinces in China, Yunnan's cuisine is more representative of its diverse ethnic population, so it is more like a hodgepodge of delicacies than a particular food. If there is a ubiquitous dish in Yunnan, it must be Cross Bridge Rice Noodle. This is a bowl of hot chicken soup, which diners can add at will, mainly meat, rice noodles (a kind of rice noodles) vegetables and spices. If Yunnan is not famous for its food, it is famous for its tea. The province is considered to be the birthplace of tea, and today it is still the hometown of ancient tea trees-one of which is said to be more than 1700 years old! The most suitable word for Yunnan is diversity. The diversity of plants and humans. It is this mixing that started tea thousands of years ago. Many unique tea trees have been found in the jungles and mountains of Yunnan, much more than in other parts of China. In addition, there are many different indigenous peoples along the border. There are 25 different ethnic groups here, all of which grow unique tea trees. We often say that the fertile red soil in Yunnan is rich in organic matter. The soil here, coupled with warm, humid and rainy weather, creates a very friendly environment for tea trees. It is not uncommon for tea trees to be more than 100 years old. They can also grow to 20-30 feet tall. This is really a sight worth seeing. Yunnan Needle Tip Tea has a unique position in the tea industry; when you talk about Yunnan, you must talk about Pu'er. Pu'er and fermented Pu'er tea are all one of the most famous products in Yunnan. This ancient tea has recently become popular all over the world, but it has long been the mainstay of Yunnan and China. Pu'er tea gets its name from Pu'er Town in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. Six of the 12 tea mountains in Yunnan are in Pu'er town. The mountains are dotted with dense jungle-like forests, where the climate is mild and tea grows luxuriantly. Although Pu'er tea is not actually grown in Pu'er town, it is believed that Pu'er tea has this name because Pu'er is an important starting point of the tea-horse road.

In the Tang Dynasty, the tea road was the trade route between tea and horses between China and Xizang. Chinese people can grow tea, but they can't raise horses, while Xizang people are just the opposite. So the Chinese will wind their way through the steep valleys with black tea to bring back much-needed horses. If you want to read more books about the Ancient Tea-Horse Road, the Ancient Tea-Horse Road: the Ancient Trade Road from China to Xizang is a good book. The unique flavor of Pu'er tea comes from fermentation, which is a process that no other tea has. Outside China, little is known about the science of tea fermentation, but we can speculate that the effect of fungi and bacteria in the air on leaves is probably the same as the effect of yeast on wine grapes or yeast starter on bread dough. One of the good stories about how Pu'er tea came into being is that Pu'er tea was accidentally fermented when it was tied to a horse on the tea road during a long journey across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. In addition to being the only fermented tea, Pu'er tea also takes the form of compressed cakes or bricks. Peel off or cut the tea into thin slices as needed to make a cup of tea. Although aged Pu'er is usually very precious and expensive, proper storage is necessary to maintain the quality integrity of these unique and complex prepared teas. Yunnan black tea another kind of tea native to Yunnan is called Yunnan black tea. Yunnan black tea is earthy, almost bold and confident, but they also have a kind of social maple sweetness that gives them approachable charm. Yunnan black tea comes from a remote area of China, which borders Laos and Myanmar and is considered to be the origin of tea. These smells are always clear, so you know when there is tea in your teacup! The large, black leaves of Yunnan black tea have a hint of gold, and the tea tastes moderate and round when brewed. It has a well-balanced sweet and earthy taste, with no smoky taste better than other Yunnan teas. Yunnan Golden Needle Tea is a typical Yunnan tea, which is characterized by dark buds and black leaves. This kind of tea, also known as Dianhong, has the local characteristics of most teas in Yunnan, with the sweetness of maple syrup and a touch of spices. Pu'er tea. Pu'er tea is an ancient tea from Yunnan. The simple pleasure of Pu'er tea has a group of enthusiastic followers. This special Pu'er tea is a dark and delicious boiled Pu'er tea, which is a great drink. This is a kind of longevity Pu'er. The difference between Shou Pu'er and Sheng Pu'er is that it is fermented before it is packaged, compressed or sold.
