Hillton Tea Estate, also known as Ambiok Tea Garden, is located in the Kalimpong subzone in the north of Darjeeling District. The tea garden is just south of the Nula Valley National Park, so it enjoys a good environment.

Although the elevation (700m-900m) is somewhat low compared to some higher gardens, the mountain landscape and slope direction of the Teesta Valley provide good growth conditions.

Together with the neighboring Kumai, Samabeong and Upper Fagu tea gardens, these tea plantations form Darjeeling Manor, which is far from the main producing areas.

As a result, many of the teas from these estates are not as typical as most classic Darjeeling Tea. These estates are also part of the Darjeeling Teesta Valley Tea Garden.

Hilton (Ambiok) Tea Garden is particularly famous for the quality of traditional tea, grown here from ancient Chinese leaflet species.

The leaves of Darjeeling spring-picked tea in Hillton2019 year are very neat and mixed with beautiful colors. The semi-oxidized leaves have a neat appearance and give off aromas of fruit and spices.

The tea is bronze in color and has a faint, green aroma. The taste is very smooth, with obvious floral aromas, which is not so astringent compared with the typical Darjeeling spring tea.

This tea is more like moderately oxidized oolong tea with a slight mineral, fruit and creamy taste. The overall taste is reminiscent of petals-dry flowers, green and slightly bitter sweet. The finish is slightly dry, but persistent, with a hint of mineral and full-bodied taste.

This tea tastes delicate and balanced, not a typical Darjeeling spring pick, and it is pleasant to enjoy it alone in the afternoon.
