Is Rosa boutique coffee beans unique to Panama? Does the Emerald Manor have a gold standard Rose Summer?
When it comes to rosy summer, many people immediately think of the rosy summer of the Panamanian jadeite manor, but recently there is a new gold label rosy summer in the front street coffee shop, and many friends think that it is also an emerald manor, but it is not. From the origin of the bean seed, whether the Panamanian rose summer is actually a native species or not, but there is no definite answer to its original species so far.
Since the 1990s, there have been people looking for the birthplace of Rose Summer in this newspaper all over the world. In 2007, while Adam Overton and his wife Rachel Sammuel were filming local coffee for the Ethiopian government, they came up with the idea of setting up their own coffee estate and brand, while BOP judges, mule estate aid Willem Boot had been working to find the birthplace of Rosa, so they worked together to return to Ethiopia to find the birthplace of Rosa.
In Banchi, which is about 1700-2100 meters above sea level in Ethiopia near South Sudan, many places are known as Rosa Village, which has long been considered the most likely birthplace of Rose Summer.
They began to investigate in the nearby forest, and many wild roses were found in the Gori Rose Forest. They picked and screened the coffee fruit, and then went to Rosa Village to plant and set up an estate, named Gesha Village Coffee Estate. The manor of Ruoxia Village is divided into eight farms, and the soil and water conditions of each plot are different.
On the menu of Qianjie Coffee, there are two kinds of beans from Rosa Village in Ethiopia, one is gold mark and the other is red mark. Although they are both Rose Xia Village, the plots planted are different, so there will be differences in flavor performance and rating.
Golden Standard Rose Summer: producing area: the Omar plot of the Manor of Rosa Village, Ethiopia.
Flavor: citrus, floral, cream, fermented aroma, fruit juice taste
Treatment method: sun treatment
Variety: Gesha 1931 (Rosa 1931)
Remarks: the annual output accounts for 5% of the total output of the manor, has a complete traceability, and the flavor level is complex and prominent.
Red label Rose Summer:
Producing area: Manor of Roxia Village, Bancimaji, Ethiopia
Flavor: citrus, plum, cream, tropical fruit, fermented fragrance
Treatment: insolation
Variety: Gori Rosa
Note: the typical flavor of Rosa Village, the flavor intensity is slightly weaker than the gold standard batch, and the performance price is relatively high.
It can be seen that the plots are different and the varieties of beans are different. Although the flavor of coffee beans produced has the citrus and berry flavors of Ethiopian coffee, there is still a slight difference.
