Last Updated: 2024/11/08, This kind of tea is produced in Mingjian Township, Nantou City, Taiwan, and is one of the oldest organic tea gardens in Taiwan. The farm turned to organic farming in the 1980s because the farmer's wife almost had a miscarriage due to exposure to pesticides. This kind of tea is not made of Red Heart Tieguanyin (ancestral variety), but is processed and brought out to resemble Tieguanyin.

This kind of tea is produced in Mingjian Township, Nantou City, Taiwan, and is one of the oldest organic tea gardens in Taiwan. The farm turned to organic farming in the 1980s because the farmer's wife almost had a miscarriage due to exposure to pesticides. This tea is not made of Red Tieguanyin (ancestral variety), but is processed to bring out the characteristics similar to Tieguanyin, which can be clearly seen in the cup. This farm is famous for growing jade at low elevations. This Tieguanyin-style tea proves that you don't need to grow tea in high places (or use synthetic pesticides) to produce good tea. This kind of tea left a deep impression on me, and I look forward to tasting more of their products in 2021. This kind of tea is vacuum sealed and has no oxygen inhaler. The dry tea arrived flat, but it rebounded well after putting some moist air in the bag. This kind of tea should be very mature in the baking stage, and it tastes good even if no chemical fertilizer is used in the production process. This kind of tea even has amazing longevity effect. The farm has received organic certification from the Taiwan government and the Hong Kong Organic Agriculture Organization. This tea is very good, very clean and tastes very attractive! Pour the leaves into a preheated cover bowl and I smell the smell of barley malt and sweet-scented osmanthus. This wine has a pleasant hint of sweetness. When soaking tea for the first time, sweet-scented osmanthus and malt dominate the cup, but there is also an interesting fragrant flavor, which I always welcome in oolong tea. After the tea is cold, I will take some cantaloupe and honey. The first time you brew (one minute), there is absolutely no astringency. Tea also has a lovely calming effect, which increases gradually throughout the process: when it disappears, I realize that the tea is not low in caffeine! The farm must have known how to properly feed the roots of their plants without using chemical fertilizers.

The second cup (also one minute) gives me balanced sweet and sour, which reminds me of the classic Anxi Tieguanyin Tea. Going back to work is very long-lasting. The taste of this tea also reminds me of the high-quality Anxi Tieguanyin Tea: my middle Tieguanyin and Silver Tieguanyin are in my mind. This kind of tea has a lovely complexity and depth, which is attractive and unique provided by Anxi. There is even a hint of mineral in the aftertaste, which to me shows that the roots of these plants are well fed. After the second brewing, the aftertaste of incense is more prominent, and some notes of tangerine peel even become obvious. The taste of tangerine peel and minerals reminds me of salt tea, but the combination of the two is also common in Anxi Tieguanyin Tea. In the third cup, I poured a cup of tropical fruit, which reminded me of Anxi Tieguanyin Tea. I never thought that the organic oolong tea from Nantou would remind me of Anxi Tieguanyin Tea, so it was a complete surprise for me. Of course, this kind of tea has its own characteristics, so if you like Tieguanyin, this is definitely a special thing, I highly recommend trying it. The fourth cup (the third and fourth cups are two minutes long) gave me citrus, cantaloupe and Chenxiang. By the time of the fourth injection, the minerals were already very weak. I can't drink any more tea after five times, and there is too much tea, so this tea is definitely the unfailing tea in the bubble-resistant system! This is an excellent tea (even if we do not consider organic cultivation), I wholeheartedly recommend it to Tieguanyin lovers.
