In the defense of this incident, Starbucks stressed that the company has been paying the rent normally, and that it has not paid the rent during this period of time. It simply feels that the lease may be terminated, so it does not know who to pay the rent to, and wants to wait until after the lawsuit is over. Determine who is the payer of the rent. To this end, Starbucks exercised the right of uneasy defense and suspended the payment of rent.
In this lawsuit, the Bank of Guangzhou finally terminated the lease contract with Company A, and Company B and the merchants subleased had to hand over the rent owed during the lawsuit to the Bank of Guangzhou. Due to the withdrawal of Company A, if Company B and the subleased merchants want to continue to use merchants, they will have to re-sign the lease with the Bank of Guangzhou, otherwise they will have to move out.
