Panamanian coffee

Panama is located in Central America, bordering Colombia and Costa Rica, the Pacific Ocean to the south and the Caribbean Sea to the north. Panama is an S-shaped connection between North and South America, so it is known as the "bridge of the world".

The whole territory of Panama is undulating, with vertical and horizontal valleys, mostly mountainous except the north and south coastal plains. And close to the equator, is a tropical maritime climate, humid during the day, cool at night, the average annual temperature is 23-27C °. There are two seasons of drought and rain throughout the year, with an average annual precipitation of 1500-2500 mm. In addition, Panama is rich in natural resources, has a number of rivers, and forests are preserved for the protection of the natural ecological environment, accounting for 57% of the land area. Coffee is mainly grown near the volcanic area of Chiriki province in western Panama. it has fertile land brought by volcanic ash, high altitude and the right amount of Rain Water, and the microclimate makes it an excellent coffee producing area. Agriculture, like tourism, has become an important industry in Panama.

Pokuit producing area

Coffee producing areas are mainly divided into Boquete, Volcan-Candela and Renacimiento. These producing areas are located around the country's three volcanoes: Volc á n Baru, El Valle and Le Yeguada, whose ash makes the soil more fertile and suitable for coffee cultivation.

Pokuit is one of the most well-known coffee producing areas in Panama, because it has a number of well-known estates, such as Emerald Manor, Arida Manor and Duncan Manor, which also benefits from the excellent planting conditions in Pokuit. Here coffee is planted at a distance of 1200-2000 meters, and the temperature is between 11 ℃-27 ℃, neither too cold nor too high. At the same time, there is a large temperature difference, which can make the coffee fruit grow slowly and develop its flavor. In addition, there is an appropriate amount of rainfall, the fertile land, abundant sunshine and special local microclimate brought by volcanic ash make the producing area can produce high-quality coffee.

Rose summer matching

Currently, there are two rosy summer beans in Qianjie Coffee. One is strawberry candy from Milasu Manor in Costa Rica, which is made up of Rosa, ET47, SL28 and Maico. The other is a flower butterfly coffee bean from the Poquet region of Panama, which is made up of 70% rose summer and three varieties of Kaddura and Kaduai.

At first, the main cultivation in Panama was Kaddura and Kaduai. Rosa was not widely planted when it came to Panama in 1970 because it was too fragile. It was not until it was accidentally discovered by the Emerald Manor and entered the competition that it became famous and widely planted. Earlier, in order to pursue yield, Rosa varieties were mixed with coffee trees from Kaddura and Kaduai. But in the harvest, the separate collection of rose varieties is larger, so they will be harvested together. Later, in order to highlight the characteristics of Rosa, we began to subdivide and collect three varieties, and finally mixed them in proportion at the time of export.
