A 48-year-old man entered a cafe for the night several times during non-business hours, Xinming Daily reported.

According to the report, the trespassing cafe was located in a local museum and was open from 10:00 to 9 p.m. As part of the area of the cafe is in the open air, there are no doors and windows that can be locked, so after the store closes, the staff will seal off the area with fences, ropes and other things to avoid intruders.

I never thought that someone would cross the fence after closing the shop and enter the cafe for the night! It is understood that the uninvited man made the cafe his home after breaking in in the middle of the night. In addition to using the toilet in the cafe, he sleeps on the sofa, uses the outlet in the store to charge his cell phone, and even washes his clothes in the store.

As the man did not steal anything in the store, but only used the cafe as a hotel, the clerk was not aware of it at first. When the shopkeeper noticed the anomaly and checked the surveillance video, he found that the uninvited guest had broken in many times after the store closed. According to rough statistics, the man climbed over the fence and entered the store for the night five to six times a month.

After understanding the situation, the troubled shopkeeper specially waited in front of the real-time monitoring after the cafe closed one day. On the evening of January 26, 2023, after the man entered the store, the shopkeeper immediately called the police to deal with it. When the police arrived, the man tried to hide, but was eventually found in the store. The police instructed him to leave immediately and warned him not to break into the cafe in the middle of the night.

I thought the matter came to an end, but to the surprise of the shopkeeper, the man appeared again in the surveillance screen on the 27th and 28th, forcing the shopkeeper to call the police again for help. However, the man did not cause significant financial losses to the cafe, so the police still evicted him and gave him another warning.

Since then, the man did not break into the cafe in the middle of the night, which is supposed to be over. But on April 10 this year, after repeatedly breaking into the gym, using toilets and showers and resting in the store, the man was recognized by nearby construction workers and called the police. This time, the man tried to leave but failed, and was arrested by the police that night after failing to provide a reasonable explanation for the trespassing.

According to the investigation, the man originally lived with his parents, but he did not live in his parents' home during the incident because he was not close to his parents. And the investigation shows that the man is a habitual criminal who has been jailed many times for smuggling arms and harassing foreign women. After getting out of prison, he went to museums, churches and other places to pick up, wash clothes and sleep many times, and was jailed again in 2022.

At present, the man faces five charges against miscellaneous (public order and nuisance) laws for repeatedly trespassing cafes and gyms. In addition, the Singapore judge also imposed a fine of 3000 yuan. However, since the man did not pay the fine, he went to prison instead.
