Latte (Latte), which I believe everyone is already familiar with can no longer be familiar with, is a coffee made by adding a lot of milk to the concentrate. Because the existence of a large amount of milk balances out the bitterness, the latte has a higher acceptance than other traditional coffee: mellow and fragrant, high sweet but not bitter, which is suitable for both young and old. good! Now that the latte is clear to everyone, Qianjie will ask a question: do you know what a half-latte is?

I believe many friends will guess when they see the name semi-latte: does it mean a small cup of latte? Or a latte with less espresso? In fact, neither! Semi-latte is an alias for coffee, which is popular in the United States and was formerly known as "Breve".

What is Breivier? As Qianjie Qianwen said, Breeway is a very popular espresso in the United States. The name brevie is literally translated into "Breve", which means "short" in Italian. Speaking of short, maybe you will contact another unpopular coffee-Piccolo in the first place. But unfortunately, it has nothing to do with piccolo. Because Breivier's cup is as big as a latte. (latte on the left, Brevie on the right)

The similarity between Breivie and latte is not only in cup size, but also in the way of production and the materials used. It's still a combination of double espresso and 200+ml dairy products. However, Brevie's dairy products are not only milk, milk only accounts for half of them, and the other half is cream!

Then, because Brevie is not much different from the latte in every aspect, the content of milk has only been halved. Therefore, Brewe is called "semi-latte", or "latte Brevie".

The main ingredient of cream is fat, and the presence of fat will improve the taste and make it thicker. Therefore, when half the milk of a latte is replaced with cream, its mellow thickness will naturally be more prominent and smoother. And does everyone know? The practice of mixing cream into milk actually became popular two years ago. Why? Because of the presence of dirty coffee. When dirty coffee exploded in the last two years, people would replace the milk base with ice bok, that is, milk with high concentration, in order to improve the texture of milk.

But the cost of Bing Bock is very high, after all, it takes several bottles of milk to make a bottle of Bing Bock, so some people will start looking for a replacement in order to save money. Then a witty person thought that by adding cream to the milk, it would increase the mellow feeling of the milk. If we have tried to make dirty coffee in this way, congratulations, you may have already drunk Brevie coffee before you know it (coffee and milk are not delaminated and blended).

How should Breewe make it? As Qianjie said, the difference between Brevie and latte is that there is only one more cream on the basis of the material, and the other processes are the same as lattes. So, as long as you can make a latte, Brevie is very simple to make! Although it is simple, the process still has to go, so let's share with Qianjie how to make Brevie coffee. The materials that need to be prepared are simple: espresso, cream, milk. Remember to refrigerate the milk and cream before making, and the concentrate can also be replaced by espresso made from a mocha pot, but try to make it strong! When you are ready, you can start making coffee!

First of all, we need to mix milk and cream in equal proportion. Qianjie hot latte ratio is 1:4, concentrated 1, milk 4, espresso will use 40ml or so, so milk about need 200ml! To make Brevie coffee, we need to halve the milk and then make up for the reduced amount of milk with cream. That is, 100ml milk, 100ml cream (can be adjusted according to your preferences). After mixing, set it aside and set it aside. After the concentration begins to extract, we will dismiss it. Yes, along with the cream.

Then the espresso is extracted, and the beans are still mixed with warm sun. today's concentration parameters are 20g, it takes 30 seconds to extract 40ml. It's a very standard golden ratio!

After the concentrated extraction is halfway through, we can begin to mix the milk and cream. Just send it according to the standard of latte foam!

After getting rid of it, we only need to integrate and pull flowers, and the big work will be done! Because of the cream, the foam begins to dissipate soon after it is made, and bubbles appear on the liquid surface one after another, which means we have to drink it quickly to ensure that we can get the most complete experience!

Compared to the latte, Brevie's taste is indeed more mellow because of the presence of cream. Not only that, the taste of coffee will also be more prominent, because the cream contains no sugar, and there is no sugar in the front street. Because there is not too much sweetness and balance of bitterness, the taste of coffee is naturally highlighted, and it is a little greasy because of the cream. Therefore, Qianjie chose to add sugar. Then, I made an action that might be beaten by the barista, that is! Stir it!

Sure enough, after adding 3G granulated sugar, the bitterness of the coffee was reduced and became better to taste. But! Because there is still too much cream, it is still greasy to drink. Therefore, when you are making at home, you must pay attention to the amount of cream and control it at 20~30ml.
