According to a survey released on Sept. 22, 2/3 of Americans drink coffee, and many drink their first cup of coffee within an hour after waking up in the morning, Reuters reported.
On average, 65 percent of Americans drink 13 cups of coffee a week, and 3/5 admit they need a cup of coffee to start their day. The survey, conducted by convenience chain 7-11, was based on 1009 people with a maximum allowable error of 3 per cent.
The data obtained from the survey are as follows: 28% of coffee drinkers drink their first cup of coffee within 15 minutes after getting up, 68% of coffee drinkers drink the first cup of coffee of the day within an hour, and 57% of coffee drinkers add sugar or sweetener to their coffee. 54% of coffee drinkers said "coffee makes me feel more like myself."
