"Cafe Candle Cafe" is located in Humen International Shopping Center in Dongguan. The candles and lighting in the store are all from the candle company operated by Jiang Xiuqing. The space configuration in the store is also modelled on the display room in the candle company. Jiang Xiuqing said that her candle company entered Humen in 2005 and mainly sold fragrant hand-made candles for export. in recent years, she began to want to open the domestic market, but the operating effect of the online shop was not significant, so she wanted to open a physical storefront, but after all, Dongguan is not like Europe and the United States, candles are not a necessity, nor are they the main decorations. after thinking about it over and over again, they decided to think in reverse and open a coffee shop to help with the candle business. "
Unexpectedly, the idea was well received. Zhang Huishu said that many customers would buy and take away the candles when they saw the candles in the store. The advantage of the physical storefront is that they can actually experience, see the texture of the candles, and feel the aroma. Cofento officially opened in May this year, and Zhang Huishu said that the sales of candles since its opening are much more than they have sold online for a year before.
Jiang Xiuqing said that opening a coffee shop may also be the dream of many people, and it just so happens that both of us love coffee. At present, in addition to coffee, the shop also sells other drinks and light meals, but the wonderful thing is that there are no cooks in the shop.
"every shop assistant is a cook. I have been exposed to Chinese and Western food since I was a child. I like to cook, so I take out some familiar recipes that are more popular with my friends and teach them to each shop assistant." Zhang Huishu said the main reason for this was that he didn't want to rely too much on the chef. If he quit, the store would be over.
However, he also admitted that it is impossible to make more complex western food in the restaurant. "even if I can do it, it is more difficult to control the quality of teaching."
Zhang Huishu said that as soon as it opened, many people came to ask whether they could join, but because it was not stable at the initial stage, and they did not understand the local market, they did not agree. At present, they are already drawing up joining plans and relevant regulations, and they may also open branches in the future.
