China Economic News Network: (Deng Daoyong) on December 30, the reporter learned from the Yunnan Coffee Industry Association: sponsored by the China-ASEAN Coffee Cooperation Committee, the China Coffee Engineering Research Center, and the Yunnan Coffee Industry Association, the 4th China Mangshi (International) Coffee Culture Festival hosted by Dehong Hougu Coffee Co., Ltd. will be held in Mangshi, Dehong Prefecture, from January 23 to 25, 2015. During the cultural festival, activities such as "the first Yunnan Coffee Trade negotiation (ordering) Conference", "the first China Cafe growth Forum", "the groundbreaking ceremony of the 20,000-ton Hougu Coffee production Line", "thousands of people interpretation" and "Coffee past Life" will be held.

Li Gongqin, secretary general of Yunnan Coffee Industry Association, introduced the relevant situation of this activity to the reporter.

The first Yunnan Coffee Trade Fair

In recent years, with the rapid development of coffee industry in Yunnan, coffee enterprises in Yunnan are thriving. Major coffee producing areas in Yunnan actively promote coffee cultivation. Yunnan has become one of the major coffee producing areas in the world. Up to now, the planting area of coffee in Yunnan has exceeded 1.6 million mu, and the output of coffee in Yunnan is expected to exceed 120000 tons in this harvest season.

According to reports, the development of coffee in Yunnan is still in the extensive development stage, and the cultivation, processing, trade and brand construction of coffee are still in the primary stage. With the continuous improvement of Yunnan coffee's international and domestic popularity, Yunnan coffee needs more display platforms. During the 4th China Mangshi (International) Coffee Culture Festival, the "first Yunnan Coffee Trade negotiation (ordering) Conference" will be held. At that time, businessmen from more than 30 countries and regions will go to Mangshi to negotiate with domestic and Yunnan coffee enterprises. At the same time, they will also taste coffee from eight major coffee producing areas in Yunnan. The first Yunnan Coffee Trade Fair will be the first collective appearance of Yunnan coffee enterprises and a good opportunity for domestic and international coffee enterprises to exchange, learn and cooperate.

The first China Cafe growth Forum

Due to the cold injury in early 2013, a large area of coffee in Yunnan was affected, and the price of coffee fell below the planting cost of farmers. Yunnan Coffee Industry Association once called on domestic consumers to consume more Yunnan coffee to ease the anxiety of farmers. Over the years, more than 80% of Yunnan coffee has been exported to all parts of the world, while most of the coffee sources in domestic cafes are imported; even many domestic cafes do not know that Yunnan has coffee and Yunnan has good coffee! How to let domestic coffee shop operators know that there is coffee in Yunnan and good coffee in Yunnan requires the joint efforts of Yunnan coffee people; at the same time, domestic coffee consumers know less about Yunnan coffee. Xiong Xiangren, president of Yunnan Coffee Industry Association, said: "consumption guidance is very important."

According to the survey data of Yunnan Coffee Industry Association, in recent years, China's coffee consumption is growing rapidly at an annual rate of more than 20%, and the number of cafes has increased from about 20, 000 in 2008 to about 100000 at present. There are about 5500 cafes in Shanghai alone, and there are more than 10, 000 cafes in the north, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen cities. at present, there are cafes in almost all the county-level cities in China, even in villages and towns. However, the growth of cafes in China has become a topic of concern for the coffee industry: cafe operation, like Rainbow, has become a beautiful-looking business, and many people have the dream of "opening a coffee shop of their own". The dream shines into reality: 30% of China's cafes make money, 30% do not make money, intend to cultivate for a long time, and 40% lose money.

In the face of this reality, how do Chinese cafes grow? What is the most real situation of Chinese cafes at present? As the coffee shop at the forefront of coffee consumption in China, how to guide coffee consumption, spread coffee knowledge and culture, and how to better survive and develop has become the main purpose of holding the "first China Cafe growth Forum".

The foundation of the 20,000 ton production line of Hougu Coffee was laid.

After several years of growth, Yunnan coffee continues to extend the industrial chain and increase its added value. On January 24, 2015, the 20,000-ton production line of Yunnan Hougu Coffee will be laid again and is expected to be completed and put into production by the end of 2016. Hougu Coffee will become the largest instant coffee manufacturer in Asia.

With the continuous construction of 3000-ton production line, 10, 000-ton production line and 20, 000-ton production line of Hougu coffee, Hougu Coffee Industrial Park has been initially formed, from industrial processing, coffee cultivation, coffee import and export trade, coffee brand construction. Hougu Coffee has formed a perfect industrial ecological chain.
