Night coffee in Greece, one of the ancient civilizations in the world.
Greece is one of the ancient civilizations in the world, located in southern Europe, bordering on the Mediterranean, sunny, mild climate, fresh air, is a famous tourist resort in Europe. When I came back from a trip to Greece, a friend asked me, what impressed you most about Greece? I said, it's Greek night coffee.
Before coming to Greece, a Wenzhou businessman who had been doing business in Europe for more than ten years once told me that Greeks drink coffee more harms than Chinese people drink tea. Although they also drink coffee in the morning, it is only as a breakfast drink, and drinking coffee in the evening is a scene in Greece. So I was curious about Greek night coffee. After arriving in Greece, I visited many places from east to west and from north to south, and learned that this friend was right.
Greeks work six hours a day, from 9am to 3pm, go home from work and sleep until 7pm or 8pm, then grab a bite to eat, and then go to the coffee shop for evening coffee and chat.
I was impressed by the scene of Greeks drinking night coffee on my first day in Greece. That day, when we flew from Rome to Athens, the plane was late and we settled down at the Great Britain Hotel in Athens. It was more than 11:00 local time. Because of jet lag, we were not sleepy, so we were invited to take a walk in the street. The Great Britain Hotel is in the center of the city, and it is very convenient to go to the street. At this time, Athens is very lively, the most eye-catching is one coffee shop after another, the coffee table has been placed on both sides of the sidewalk, the shop is full, the table is full, there is a situation of overcrowding.
Remembering the words of Wenzhou businessmen, I specially observed that the people drinking night coffee and chatting are mainly middle-aged people, and there are not a few elderly people. Seeing me curiously, the Greek guide said, "Why don't we go for a drink?" It is a rare enjoyment to drink coffee and chat on a good night. "
Sit down in any coffee shop, and the enthusiastic shopkeeper immediately offered us a cup of thick pearl coffee for each of us. Sipping coffee, the Greek guide told us that Athenians like to spend the night, and from eight or nine o'clock in the evening, many people take their wives and invite friends to the coffee shop for coffee.
A few hours later, the guests at the table were still waiting for half a cup of coffee. I said, "they can really dillydally." The guide smiled and said, in fact, Greek night coffee is only a social form, a cup of coffee can drink for hours. The guide also told us that Greeks usually go to bed at one or two o'clock at night, get up at seven or eight o'clock in the morning, wash carefully, drink a cup of coffee and eat some snacks before going to work leisurely. Although Greece's gross national product ranks second from the bottom of the European Union, Greeks are still living a comfortable and unrestrained life.
