It is still in the infancy of the coffee tree, and it is more likely to dry up. The rod-cutting measure is an effective rescue measure for coffee trees, the earlier the cutting rod, the faster the germination, the greater the insurance coefficient, the later the cutting rod, the greater the withering of the coffee tree, the less the probability of saving the coffee tree.
Of course, cutting early also has the potential to suffer frost to cool down again that year. If the cooling frost occurs again that year, the new buds that have already sprouted of coffee trees will be destroyed. If the second frost does not come again in that year, the sooner the rod is cut, the better.
