Coffee common sense long-term drinking coffee does not increase the risk of premature death
Previous studies have suggested that long-term coffee drinking is harmful and may also increase the risk of premature death, but the latest findings released by Spanish researchers dispute this claim.
According to the latest Chronicle of Internal Medicine, researchers at the Autonomous University of Madrid in Spain followed 84000 middle-aged women and 41000 middle-aged men from 1986 to 2004.
All the respondents had a coffee drinking habit, had no history of cardiovascular disease or cancer, and were engaged in occupations in the health system.
The survey found that if respondents maintained a proper amount of coffee every day, their mortality rate would not increase as a result.
Because coffee contains caffeine and other stimulating substances, scientists have long debated the pros and cons of drinking coffee.
