Coffee is fragrant before drinking, but it makes people have bad breath after drinking it. In fact, coffee contains substances to inhibit bad breath, which may be used in mouthwash, breath fresheners and gum to keep your breath fresh, according to a new study by Israeli scientists.

Professor Mel Rosenberg, a tone expert at Tel Aviv University in Israel, accidentally discovered this magical effect of coffee in an experiment.

Rosenberg says everyone thinks coffee causes bad breath, and in fact it usually does. Because when coffee is mixed with milk, it dehydrates inside the mouth and ferments to produce odorous substances.

But Rosenberg found through experiments that coffee does not necessarily cause bad breath. In the experiment, "We expected coffee to cause bad breath, but some of the ingredients had the opposite effect," he said.

Rosenberg plans to separate this magical substance from coffee. It may replace mint, which can only cover breath, and become the basic ingredient of a new generation of mouthwash, breath freshener and chewing gum.
