Researchers have recently found that drinking coffee regularly can effectively prevent heart disease such as arrhythmia, foreign news reported on the 2nd.

The results of the latest study released by the US medical giant Permanente's Center show that regular consumption of high concentrations of coffee can help people stay away from heart disease, the report said.

A medical team led by cardiologist Arthur Krasky surveyed 13054 respondents between the ages of 18 and 90. Those who drank four or more cups of coffee a day were 18 percent less likely to be hospitalized for heart disease. At the same time, those who drank one to three cups of coffee a day had a 7 percent lower risk of heart disease.

Krasky presented the latest findings at the 50th anniversary celebration of the American Heart Association. Although the results do not explain in detail the link between coffee drinking and heart disease, it at least proves that coffee drinking is not harmful to people, he said.

Previous studies have also shown that some elements in coffee may have a protective effect on the human heart.
