The Central Cafe in Vienna originated in Vienna.
Vienna is a city with no lack of culture, located in the center of Europe, known as the capital of the whole Europe, once all-powerful politicians and all kinds of literati, musicians and artists have gathered here. Vienna, as a cultural city, is no less than the established European cities-Paris, Venice, Rome.
In many "legends", the cafe originated in Vienna, a city on the border of Central and Western Europe. In Vienna, there is no shortage of cafes, walking on the road, all kinds of cafes abound, but Vienna may be because of its heavy historical and cultural accumulation, its coffee is also very traditional, the emerging boutique coffee culture does not have much impact on it, you can not even find the tail of boutique coffee in the street, Viennese still stubbornly drink their own coffee.
Among the many cafes in Vienna, the more famous one is the Central Cafe (Central Cafe), Damel. This is my third visit to Vienna. This time I would rather give up all my itinerary and spend an afternoon sitting in the well-known Central Cafe to experience the European tradition.
The Central Cafe, located in a partial position in the inner city of Vienna, takes a bus to the entrance of the Hofburg Palace. The tour bus usually stops here, enters the main entrance of the Hofburg Palace, and keeps following the flow of people. Go through two doors and come to a small square. At this time, it is a fork in many roads. Turn left, continue along the road, and go straight. The location of the first fork is the Central Cafe.
The building where the Central Cafe is located is very characteristic, which happens to be a dividing line separating the two streets. It was designed by a famous designer, so it is easy to find it.
When I walked into the cafe, I was surprised by the wax figure of the poet, who was once the most loyal guest of the Central Cafe. The famous "I'm not at the Cafe, I'm on my way to the Cafe" comes from the mouth of Balzac, a regular customer of the cafe.
Sitting in the central cafe is really an unspeakable feeling, you can feel, you can even touch the history and atmosphere here, at this moment, coffee itself is no longer important, through coffee you feel the culture it carries, at this time, you no longer have to think about why there are not so many boutique cafes in Vienna and why some people say, "there is no coffee culture in Vienna." Because there is already too much culture here, coffee itself, as a culture, is too small here, so that people who are dizzy no longer have time to care about it.
It was 2 o'clock when I walked into the Central Cafe. I did it for more than 2 hours. when I left, I found that it was already packed and full. At this time, I needed to wait in line to enter the Central Cafe.
If you like coffee and enjoy the coffee culture, then if you have the opportunity to go to Vienna, this beautiful city, don't forget to sit down in the Central Cafe, even if it's only for 30 minutes.
