This year marks the fourth year that McDonald's has sponsored the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and marks the 40th anniversary of the festival. As "official Coffee", McDonald's birthday gift this year is five short films featuring coffee beans. The beans are all photographed cute!

In a short film created by McDonald's and creative agency Cossette, "shanzhai" features classic clips from five films, but the protagonists are all coffee beans. The title of each short film is caffeinated. For example, the movie Braveheart (Brave Heart) becomes Beanheart (Bean Heart), The Shining (Shining) becomes The Grinding (ground beans), Lawrence of Arabia (Lawrence of Arabia) becomes Lawrence of Arabica (Lawrence of Arabica Coffee).

"We wanted to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Toronto International Film Festival in a special way, so we came up with a fun way to combine our love for movies with our love for coffee." Said Chuck Coolen, a marketing manager at McDonald's in Ontario, Canada.

These short films will also be promoted on the coffee cup insulation cover of McCoffee. Scan the identification number on the cup with your mobile phone and jump to the short film page on McCafeCinema.com.
