A cup of coffee a day can improve the patency of blood vessels in the body.
Researchers at the University of Ryukyu in Japan have found that caffeine in coffee can help smooth blood vessels in the body. The study was presented at the 2013 American Heart Association Scientific meeting in mid-November.
A total of 27 healthy adults who did not drink much coffee were tested and found that drinking a cup of caffeinated coffee a day improved vascular function in the index finger within the next 75 minutes, according to the science conference website. the blood flow in the finger can well reflect the inner wall of the small blood vessels in the body.
Last year, studies showed that drinking coffee in moderation, preferably two cups a day, can reduce people's risk of heart disease, but drinking more than five cups can lead to higher blood pressure and increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
