Good news for coffee lovers: new research says 3 to 5 cups of coffee a day live longer
In recent years, drinking coffee has been regarded as one of the healthy habits.
Chinanews.com, Nov. 18-according to foreign media reports, getting up every morning to drink a cup of coffee has become a part of many people's lives. And a new Harvard study shows that people who drink three to five cups of coffee a day have a 15% lower death rate than those who don't drink coffee.
It is reported that in recent years, drinking coffee has been considered one of the healthy habits. The Harvard study proved that "daily coffee consumption is inversely proportional to deaths from cardiovascular and neurological diseases."
Although some critics say the study does not effectively prove cause and effect, it at least proves a link between coffee consumption and longevity.
The study tracked 167000 women and 40, 000 men, proving that caffeine is not found in coffee, but that the combination of beans is good for health, the report said.
The study's author, Harvard University professor Willett, says coffee beans themselves have a lot of nutrients and phytochemicals.
