The latest information in Yunnan: the General History of Chinese Coffee Culture will be published soon
After a week-long review by an expert group composed of 4 archaeologists and 3 coffee experts led by Professor Li Kunsheng of Yunnan University, the manuscript of "General History of Chinese Coffee Culture" was approved yesterday, and the review opinions were put forward, which were specially recommended to the publishing house. The book will be published in both Chinese and English and distributed at home and abroad.
It is understood that the book was compiled by Professor Chen Dexin, member of Yunnan Province Association for Science and Technology and secretary general of Yunnan Province Fine Coffee Society for 6 years. in ord to compile this book, professor Chen went to 10 countries and region in Africa, America and Asia, and visited France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Turkey in western Asia, which are that cradles of world coffee culture. The book covers more than 100 issues in agriculture, anthropology, geography, literature and history, archaeology, political economy, military affairs, diplomacy, medicine, religion, etc., accompanied by more than 200 precious historical photos, nearly 200,000 words. "Yunnan coffee culture represents Chinese coffee culture. Studying Chinese coffee is studying Yunnan coffee. The publication of this book will make Yunnan coffee culture go to the world." Professor Chen said.
It is understood that by 2014, the coffee planting area in Yunnan Province was 1.83 million mu, twice as much as 640,000 mu in 2010, and the output was 118,000 tons, more than double the 49,000 tons in 2010.
