The process of the experiment:
1. Make coffee: according to the experimental data reported by the Daily Mail, COSTA's large full-fat toffee latte contains 73.3g sugar and weighs the corresponding 73.3g white granulated sugar into a uniform food bag. Starbucks large eggnog latte contains 58.2 grams of sugar. According to the above steps, 58.2 grams of sugar are weighed and bagged to more intuitively show the sugar content of coffee mentioned in the report.
2. Instant coffee: a small bag of "Maxwell" instant coffee is unpacked and weighed, with a net weight of 13 grams. The carbohydrates on the nutritional composition table of the package are shown as 9 grams, and 9 grams of white granulated sugar are weighed into the food bag. Repeat this experimental step, the net weight of Ji Yihao white coffee is 17 grams, the corresponding white granulated sugar is 15 grams, the net weight of mocha Mankning instant coffee is 13 grams, and the corresponding white granulated sugar is 11.2 grams.
3. Finally: convert one by one according to the large cup 500ml coffee solution.
Experimental results
All five kinds of coffee exceed women's sugar intake.
After measurement and calculation, the liquid volume of large Starbucks coffee is about 425ml, the sugar content of 500ml Starbucks eggnog latte is about 62 grams, and the sugar content of 500ml COSTA full-fat toffee latte is 73.3g.
According to the amount of 10ml water per gram of instant coffee, the carbohydrate content of a cup of 500ml Taiwan Di Yihao three-in-one Ipoh White Coffee is 44.1g; the carbohydrate content of 500ml "mocha" Mantenin instant coffee is 43g; and the carbohydrate content of 500ml's "Maxwell" chocolate-flavored instant coffee is 34.6g.
According to World Health Organization (WHO) 's suggestion, adult men should not eat more than 35 grams of sugar a day and women should not eat more than 25 grams a day. If they were all consumed in the amount of 500ml, the sugar content of these five types of coffee exceeded the daily sugar intake of women recommended by World Health Organization (WHO), while in addition to "Maxwell" chocolate-flavored instant coffee, the other four kinds of coffee also exceeded the daily sugar intake of adult men.
