The curry world debated: how to make a latte on earth? To see if you really know anything about coffee.
Lattes have always been a controversial drink, and there is too much debate about how to make a latte.
There are three main factions about lattes:
Italian latte: requires an espresso and a portion of milk (150-200ml). Lattes contain more milk and less coffee, which is very different from cappuccino. Pour hot milk directly into the prepared espresso. In fact, there is no regulation on how much milk is added, and it can be freely mixed according to individual taste.
American latte: add hot milk to espresso, plus some frothy cold milk to make an American latte.
European latte (Ole Coffee): pour espresso and hot milk into the cup at the same time, and finally put foam on the surface.
What the three groups have in common is that they all agree that lattes are a combination of Italian concentrate and milk, usually in the order of Italian concentrate, hot milk and foam. Because of the "milky taste", lattes are usually classified as dairy products on the Italian menu.
However, even in some cafes in Italy, we found that in order to achieve the "layering" effect, they added espresso after the meeting. But professional consensus should be joined first.
These lattes also vary in which cup to use. American lattes usually use ceramic cappuccino cups, while Italian lattes and European lattes usually use glass cups. This seems to be slightly different, but there is still a big difference between them, especially in terms of weight.
Some baristas think lattes use glasses with a capacity of 150-200 milliliters, while others think it doesn't matter whether or not to use glasses, as long as the measurements are accurate.
How many milliliters should the latte be? There seems to be no professional consensus on this topic at present. It is generally believed that the amount of latte is between 150 and 300 milliliters, the most common is 240 milliliters. A glass of this size usually requires a portion of Italian concentrate, milk and foam about 1 centimeter thick.
So what's the right way to make a latte? In essence, there is no right way. In addition to Italian concentrate, milk and foam, customers are free to choose which cup to use and how much they want. The adorable latte itself is so diverse!
What did you think? What kind of latte would you like to drink? Welcome to leave a message in the comment area.
