Successful trial planting of coffee in Yun'an, Guangdong Province
The trial planting of coffee trees in Yun'an County, Yunfu City, Guangdong Province has been successful, and experts point out that it is the first base for successful planting in a large area of Guangdong.
Dr. Song Fuping of the South China Branch of the China Tropical Plant Research Institute affirmed the success of planting coffee trees in the county, saying that this is the first base for large-scale successful planting in Guangdong.
Zhu Weiguo, secretary of the Zhenan Town CPC Committee in Yunan County, said that more and more villagers also regard planting coffee trees as a courtyard economy to get rich. The average monthly income of more than 100 villagers in Shanzitou Village has doubled from more than 800 yuan the year before to more than 2000 yuan, doubling the growth.
Feng Shilin is the executive director of Kadim Coffee Technology Co., Ltd., Foshan City, Guangdong Province. He is also a townsman who went out of Shanzitou Village of Minqiang Village Committee of Zhenan Town. He was called by the villagers as the first person to plant coffee trees in Zhenan. Feng Shilin said his wish is to build a famous brand of coffee produced in Guangdong.
Since 2004, Feng Shilin and people in the industry have successively carried out coffee tree planting experiments in the Pan-Pearl River Delta region. after more than 7 years of trial planting, coffee can only be planted in Yunfu, Deqing County, Foshan City and other places. And in Zhenan Town, Yunan County and Luohong Village, Deqing County, Yunan County has achieved the success of planting P3, P4 varieties and iron pickup varieties of Katim coffee.
According to Feng Shilin, coffee planting technology in Guangdong is a blank, many coffee varieties in the process of planting in Guangdong will appear water and soil disobedience or pathological abnormalities, variety variation and other phenomena. He said that in the course of seven years of planting, he finally cultivated coffee varieties suitable for large areas in Guangdong, and completed the work of raising seedlings, planting, processing and product evaluation, and the villagers also refused to plant coffee trees in front of their houses and behind their houses.
