However, although the coffee is good, you can't drink too much. Researchers at Tokyo Housheng annuity Hospital in Japan have found that drinking too much coffee can lead to intractable vertigo.
Otorhinolaryngology Minister Masaishi Ishii and his research team investigated patients who came to our hospital and Tokyo Zihui Hospital because of dizziness from 1995 to 2000. Among them, there were 11 males and 20 females aged between 16 and 67, who were not diagnosed with any physical abnormalities that caused vertigo, but found that they all had the habit of drinking too much coffee when they learned more about their diet and other hobbies. A 40-year-old man from a foreign exchange trading company said he often took caffeinated drinks and pills because of insomnia. Another 20-year-old woman from a television production company said she drank five or six cups of coffee and two or three caffeinated drinks a day for several days due to mental stress caused by rushing to produce the show. In addition, there are students who are in the stage of nervous review and preparation for the exam. After these patients controlled and reduced their caffeine intake under the guidance of their doctors, the symptoms of vertigo began to alleviate.
Although caffeine has the effect of refreshing the brain, invigorating the stomach and diuresis, when the daily intake is more than 600 mg, there will be anxiety, insomnia, dizziness and other symptoms. Caffeine levels range from 70 to 150mg for a cup of coffee, 50 to 100mg for a cup of green tea, 30 to 50mg for a cup of black tea, and 50 to lOO mg for a bottle of caffeinated drink. Accordingly, if you drink 2 cups of espresso, 3 cups of green tea and 1 bottle of caffeine a day, you will consume more than 600 milligrams of caffeine. The researchers point out that excessive caffeine intake and a long-term coffee-dependent lifestyle are important causes of intractable vertigo. Therefore, drink coffee in moderation.
