Keep your child away from coffee drinks
Coffee and various caffeinated drinks have entered the lives of children. A large number of scientific studies have found that drinking coffee and caffeinated drinks is bad for children's health.
Caffeine is actually a stimulant, which mainly acts on the central nervous system, stimulating the contraction of the heart muscles and speeding up the heartbeat and breathing. Children who drink too much caffeine will have headaches, dizziness, irritability, tachycardia, shortness of breath and other symptoms, which can lead to muscle tremors and shaking hands when writing. American scholars have studied the effects of caffeinated drinks on children's sleep patterns and quality, and found that children who drink more caffeinated drinks fall asleep slowly at night, sleep lightly, wake up easily, often doze off during the day, and it is not easy to concentrate.
Caffeine is irritating and can stimulate stomach peristalsis and acid secretion, causing intestinal spasms. Children who often drink coffee are prone to unexplained abdominal pain, while long-term excessive intake of caffeine will lead to chronic gastritis. Caffeine can dilate the capillaries on the gastrointestinal wall, stimulate kidney function, increase renal flow, lead to polyuria in children, increase calcium excretion, and affect children's bone development. At the same time, caffeine can also destroy vitamin B1 in children's bodies, causing vitamin B1 deficiency.
Caffeine is found in colas, tea and coffee. A 355-milliliter can of cola contains 65 milligrams of caffeine, a 350-milliliter can of oolong tea contains 80 milligrams of caffeine and 120 milligrams, and a cup of instant coffee contains 85 milligrams of caffeine. Normal people's daily intake of caffeine should not exceed 200 mg, otherwise they may be chronically poisoned, and children should stay away from coffee and drink less caffeinated drinks as far as possible.
In fact, to ensure the healthy development of children, clean boiled water is a very good drink, parents should pay attention to choose drinks suitable for their children, do not spend too much money but damage their children's health.
