Chongqing strives to build the largest coffee base in China

At the Yu meeting held in May last year, Hougu Coffee signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chongqing Neng Investment Group and Chongqing Xinou Logistics Co., Ltd., planning to use Chongqing as a coffee distribution and trade base through the "Chongqing New Europe" railway. the coffee purchased at home and abroad will be shipped to Europe.
Hougu Coffee is the leading enterprise in the domestic coffee industry, with more than 200,000 mu of coffee planting base and 13000 tons of instant coffee production line.
Optimistic about the market development prospect, in 2015, Chongqing Neng Investment Import and Export Company actively integrated into the national "Belt and Road Initiative" strategy, introduced Dehong Hougu coffee, carried out in-depth cooperation, and actively integrated coffee resources in Southeast Asia.
At present, Chongqing Nengtou Import and Export Corporation is actively developing the "Chongqing New Europe" railway market in Central Asia and Russia, and integrating coffee resources in Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam.
Coffee is transported to Chongqing through the Yangtze River waterway, benefiting from the trial of trade diversification carried out by the bonded port, through the transit warehouse in the Chongqing bonded port area, and through the "Chongqing New Europe" international channel, the coffee is sold to the European market.
In 2015, Chongqing Neng Investment Import and Export Corporation sent 280 cabinets of coffee to European countries through "Chongqing New Europe", with an export trade volume of 13 million US dollars.
This year, the project will achieve an even greater breakthrough. The relevant person in charge of the Neng Investment Import and Export Company said that it is expected that more than 3000 cabinets of coffee will be shipped to Europe through Chongqing New Europe this year, and the re-export trade volume will reach 200 million to 300 million US dollars.
Coffee trading center and "Coffee Valley" cross-border e-commerce will be launched one after another.
It is reported that in order to better open up the coffee market and promote coffee trading, Chongqing will officially set up a coffee trading center in Liangjiang Happiness Square in Liangjiang New area in April.
"the entire trading center will connect the domestic and international trading markets, and realize the integration of online and offline through the integration of traditional trade and e-commerce," according to the relevant responsible person, and strive to achieve a total domestic and foreign transaction volume of about 50 to 6 billion yuan this year.
In addition, in order to better promote online coffee transactions and connect deeply with merchants and individual buyers, a cross-border e-commerce called "Coffee Valley" will be officially launched next month, covering both B2B and B2C.
At the same time, in order to deepen coffee processing services, Nitou Import and Export Company plans to establish a coffee processing base in Chongqing to process coffee through a variety of procedures such as sieving, roasting and stir-frying, so as to better integrate into the coffee market and meet the needs of customers.
It is understood that the municipal government is very concerned about the coffee re-export trade project, trying to build Chongqing into "the world's third largest coffee trading center."
According to the plan, Chongqing Energy Group will take three years to build Chongqing into the country's largest electronic coffee trading platform and the most important coffee entrepot trade base in China.
