Gesha is one of 77 natural villages in southern Ethiopia. Like other natural villages, the original residents here live a life of sunrise and sunset. Rose Xia was born in a barren valley and lived a natural and mundane life. However, she inherited the unique citrus aroma of Essel coffee, which can never be seen in other coffee varieties, so she was destined to be different from other coffee.

In 1931 Rose Summer left the mountain village with all her childhood memories with her sister and was resold to various coffee merchants. After a wandering life in Kenya, Tanzania, Costa Rica and other countries, Rose Summer came to Panama in the 1960s and settled on a hillside of Volcan Baru volcano.

In November 1964, Peterson, a banker, bought Esmeralda Farm. He took a fancy to Rosa's unique citrus temperament and decided to turn it into a legend. Therefore, the Peterson family used scientific and experimental methods to carefully analyze the microclimate and treatment details in the manor, continuously improve the treatment model after the experiment, and persistently record and analyze the flavor performance of different planting areas one by one. In 2004, she won the first place in BOP (Best of Panama), which opened the prelude to Rose Xia becoming a world-class coffee star.

La Esmeralda Manor was bought by Price Peterson's father, Rudolph A. Peterson, a Swedish banker, and once served as the president of Bank of America. At that time, he was a big shot in the financial circle. Rudolph bought Hacienda La Esmeralda only for vacation and later retirement. It should not be expected that the estate would become world-famous and even become the representative of the Panamanian boutique coffee estate. Price took over according to altitude and micro-climate, and measured the performance and planting varieties by cup. Divide the market into three major brands to sell (Esmeralda Special,Diamond Mountain grows,Palmyra)

Palmyra (Rainforest Alliance Certification) this brand of coffee is grown in Catuai near the Baru Volcano Park. It has a typical Panamanian Bouqete high-altitude coffee flavor.
