The purpose of the interconnection with Kunming is to realize the linkage effect of "Yue Yunnan-Chongqing New Europe" in the real sense. Yunnan, through cooperation with Chongqing, takes advantage of its transportation logistics and economic highland advantages to make the cake of the coffee futures market bigger, build a coffee world brand, participate in world finance, and get more concessions.

It is understood that the average annual coffee consumption in Europe is 3.6 million tons, of which Asian coffee is about 1.4 million tons, including coffee from Yunnan, Vietnam and Indonesia. Last year, Yunnan exported 67200 tons of coffee, with an export value of 199 million US dollars. The opening of the "Yuxin Europe" direct freight train has changed the way that it had to be carried by sea in the past, shortened the cycle of orders and sales, accelerated the speed of capital turnover, and is beneficial to the production and operation of enterprises.

According to the plan of "Yuxin Europe" coffee special train, Yunnan coffee transportation is expected to reach 30, 000-50, 000 tons in 2015, 100000-150000 tons in 2016, and 250000-300000 tons in 2017. Within three years, no less than 1 million tons of coffee from Asian countries will be concentrated in Chongqing and westward to Europe.
