The 107 Nantou County Coffee Evaluation Competition was launched in Guomixiang today. 42 coffee products from all over the county participated in the competition. The whole process was strictly screened according to the cup test standards of the American Fine Coffee Association (SCAA). 12 items from the water washing group and 6 pieces from the special treatment group entered the final. Yu Jiayan, director general of the National Rural Farmers' Association, said that the area and output of coffee surnamed Guo are among the best in Taiwan, although Taiwan's coffee output only accounts for 0.04% of the world's coffee output. The whole process was conducted according to the standard cup test of the American Fine Coffee Association (SCAA), including 10 items such as dry aroma, wet fragrance and flavor of coffee beans. 12 pieces of washing and 6 pieces of special treatment will be held in the final tomorrow.

In addition to the evaluation, the Peasants' Association also held four professional lectures within 2 days, including the current situation of the coffee industry, coffee processing, introduction to brewing, cup testing practice, and so on. Interested farmers in the county were invited to participate free of charge.

Yu Jiayan, director general of the Chinese Peasants' Association, said that although Taiwan's coffee production accounts for only 0.04% of the world's coffee production, in recent years, Guo's coffee has performed well in the CQI coffee evaluation in the United States, and has also attracted attention. if we can constantly improve our cultivation and production techniques and win by quality, there is definitely something to be done.
