The diplomatic relations between Taiwan and Panama have changed. Among the major imports from Pakistan, coffee is the most familiar to our countrymen. According to the analysis of the industry, the coffee exported from Panama to Taiwan takes the boutique route. In the case of the best-known geisha (Geisha) coffee, the medium-quality coffee costs NT $3000 a pound, which is still popular with consumers. In addition, Panama imports about 1.25 million kilograms of frozen beef a year, mainly using a low-price strategy to consolidate the market.

Due to the international political reality, Panama announced the establishment of diplomatic relations with the other side and severed diplomatic relations with China, severing Taiwan-Pakistan's diplomatic relations for more than a century. According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, we mainly export Panamanian products such as CD and disk storage devices, air compressors, motor vehicle components, etc., while imports from Pakistan include frozen beef, steel scrap, seafood and coffee. Among them, Panamanian coffee and beef are relatively well-known in China.

Shoucheng Coffee, which specializes in the import of coffee beans, points out that imported coffee is divided into two blocks: bulk coffee and boutique coffee. Panamanian coffee beans focus on the boutique route, and the acceptance of the Chinese people is quite high. Among them, the most famous is the geisha (Geisha) boutique coffee, which is widely loved and respected by coffee lovers in Taiwan. It costs NT $3000 per pound of medium quality, but it still sells like a fright. In the face of the new situation of severing diplomatic relations between Taiwan and Pakistan, the operators believe that the import of Panamanian coffee beans will not be affected, and since there is no tariff on all raw beans imported domestically, even if the Taiwan-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement (FTA) changes, it will not affect the import price of coffee beans.

As for frozen beef imported from Panama to Taiwan, Yu Guo Frozen Food points out that Panamanian beef has been imported to Taiwan in the past, but the sales situation is not good, and now it has stopped importing. Yuguo Foods revealed that Panamanian beef is very cheap, is rarely used as steak in Taiwan, and is mostly sold in traditional markets. Due to the small overall sales volume, it is estimated that the severing of diplomatic relations between Taiwan and Pakistan will not affect the rights and interests of consumers.
