Nespresso capsule recycling program continues to expand.
Nespresso currently provides capsule recycling services in 31 strongholds throughout Taiwan, and continues to expand. Each recycled coffee capsule is separated into aluminum and coffee powder in the recycling plant, and 100% recyclable aluminum is remelted into aluminum ingots to be recycled by professional units. The separated coffee powder is transported to one of the Nespresso cooperative organic farms. Gao Zhicheng, an expert in ecological agriculture in Taiwan, is located at the ecological farm in Taoyuan Daxi, which is used as a local organic farm to grow crop organic fertilizer, forming a complete and sustainable cycle.
Through the Nespresso AAA Sustainable quality Program, the sustainable coffee production program, which has worked with more than 70, 000 coffee farmers to produce and purchase the best quality coffee in the world, and certified with the Rainforest Alliance, has had a positive impact on thousands of farmers, families and the environment, including improving the productivity, income and well-being of coffee farmers.
