Coffee has become an indispensable drink for many people every day. Many reports and studies have shown that proper black coffee is helpful to refresh the mind, but do you know when drinking coffee is the most effective?
We rely on our own hormone cycles to adjust our body's daily routine, the familiar biological clock, and one of the hormones that controls the biological clock is called Cortisol. Cortisol is a hormone secreted by the adrenal gland, which increases blood pressure, blood sugar levels and produces immunosuppression, so it is also called stress hormone, which keeps us awake and focused.
Normal cortisol metabolism follows a 24-hour physiological cycle, with the highest cortisol level in the morning (about 6: 00) and the lowest in the early morning (about 0: 00). Steve Miller, a neuroscientist at Maryland military Medical University in the United States, pointed out that on average, from 09:30 to 11:30 and from 01:30 to 5 p.m., the concentration of cortisol decreases, and drinking coffee during these two periods is more meaningful and refreshing. (pictured) some people get up late, but when they wake up, their Cortisol secretion is 50% more than usual, so scientists suggest that it is more appropriate to wait an hour before drinking coffee.
Although caffeine can refresh the mind, excessive intake and continuous advance of physical strength will make people too dependent on coffee, on the contrary, they will become more and more tired, and even have negative effects such as rapid heartbeat, arrhythmia, rising blood pressure and so on. There will be no feeling over a long period of time, in other words, the higher the caffeine concentration of coffee, the way to wake up. And excessive caffeine intake affects health. According to the EU Food Science expert Committee, it is best to limit caffeine intake to less than 300 mg per person per day, about 2 to 3 cups of coffee.
