East Timor Coffee Variety Improvement and Post-natal Processing Technology Overseas Training Course Successfully Completed in 2017

On September 29, 2017, the closing ceremony of the 2017 overseas training course on Coffee Variety improvement and Post-natal processing Technology in East Timor, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and hosted by Yuan Longping Agricultural High-tech Co., Ltd., was held in East Aimera District. Liu Zhenhua, Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in East China, and Montis, General Director of Forestry Coffee of the East Ministry of Agriculture, attended the closing ceremony and delivered speeches. Chinese training experts, Longping high-tech representatives and officials and trainees of the East Ministry of Agriculture attended.
In his speech, Counsellor Liu Zhenhua first expressed congratulations on the successful conclusion of the training course, thanked the East Ministry of Agriculture for its strong support, and expressed appreciation for the great support of Longping Hi-Tech, the hosting unit. He pointed out that since 2008, the two countries in the Middle East have conducted a series of fruitful cooperation in the field of agriculture and achieved fruitful results. This coffee training program has deepened the friendly cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture. This training course was held from the beginning of September to the end of today. Through classroom lectures, discussion exchanges, inspection and practice, and other teaching methods, Chinese experts taught coffee cultivation, variety improvement and post-natal processing techniques to 30 students in the east. it is of great significance to improve the level of coffee planting management, coffee output and deep processing, as well as the added value of coffee, and will make a positive contribution to promoting the diversified development of the agricultural industry in the east. In the future, the cooperation between the two sides in the field of human resources will continue to deepen the friendship between the two countries.
General Director Montis expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chinese government and Longping Hi-Tech, and hoped that the Chinese government would continue to support the development of agriculture in the east. At the same time, East students, as disseminators of East agricultural technology, are required to learn advanced coffee planting and processing technology knowledge in this training course, so as to create more benefits for the development of East coffee industry and contribute to the further development of East agriculture.
The representatives of the East participants also spoke positively, thanking the governments of the two countries for organizing such training, and said that through participating in the training, they had gained knowledge about the high-yield cultivation and variety improvement of coffee, and had a deeper understanding of China. It is hoped that such training courses will continue to be held in the future.
Finally, Counsellor Liu Zhenhua and General Director Montis jointly issued certificates of completion to 30 East trainees.
