San Marco Square in Venice, Italy, is a famous tourist attraction. Many people will sit on the square and drink coffee when they visit. However, recently, when tourists visited a cafe located in the attraction, they only drank two cups of espresso and two bottles of water and were "charged"43 euros (about 345 yuan), causing heated discussion among netizens.

Recently, a "sky-high" cashier bar became popular on the Internet. The note was opened at 18:38 p.m. on August 1 at an Italian cafe, charging 43 euros for two cups of coffee and two glasses of water, 10 euros for a bottle of 250 ml mineral water and 11.5 euros for a cup of Espresso coffee. Caffe Lavena, located in Venice's Piazza San Marco, is the cafe that charges exorbitant bills.

Massimo Milanese, the cafe's manager, explains the exorbitant bill rather speechlessly: "None of this is illegal. You can also choose to drink coffee standing up for 1.20 euros."

Juan Carlos Bustamante, 62, a Chilean politician, posted on Facebook last Wednesday a receipt from Caffe Lavena showing that two cups of Espresso cost 23 euros and two bottles of water cost 20 euros, writing: "I don't know what you think, but two cups of coffee and two bottles of water cost 43 euros!"

The post was shared nearly 10,000 times later. Many netizens expressed indignation at the high price charged by the restaurant. Some Hong Kong netizens who visited the coffee shop pointed out that a family of five had to pay more than HK $700 for water and coffee.

However, some netizens said that they would rather pay a high price than be occupied by "one-day tourists." Coffee shop staff responded that the charge was normal, because sitting in the square to drink coffee can watch live orchestra performance, so the charge is higher, and if drinking coffee in the bar is only 1.25 euros (about 10 yuan), and stressed that customers have clearly explained when they sit down, but many people do not want to listen carefully, but when paying the bill, they are furious.

Netizens said, Italy is like this, sitting and drinking coffee is expensive, standing and drinking is cheap ~~!
