A female barista in Queensland, Australia, won the Guinness World Records on Thursday for churning out 420 cups of cappuccino in an hour to mark the opening of a new coffee shop.

Cappuccino coffee is a drink originating in Italy, which is made by adding milk and foam to espresso coffee. Barista Liza Thomas uses a commercially available coffee machine that can make four espresso cups at a time to simultaneously make cappuccino cups with a capacity of at least 142 ml.

Thomas was taking on the challenge to celebrate the opening of Social Cafe, a new cafe on Bribie Island, a local organisation supporting retired and active Australia Defence Forces, to share food, friendship and wine. Tomas 'coffee was distributed to visitors on the spot.
