Do you know? The best coffee producing area in the world is in Yunnan, which accounts for more than 99% of the country's coffee acreage and output. In the future, Yunnan is likely to become the world's third coffee futures trading center. In this issue, the editor will take you into the coffee world of Yunnan.
Yunnan is the earliest coffee growing place in the mainland.
It was only in 1884 that coffee was first planted in Taiwan Province of China. In the mainland, the earliest coffee cultivation began in Yunnan.
In 1892, in order to meet the need of drinking coffee, French missionaries successfully planted the first coffee tree in a place called Zhu Kula in Binchuan, Yunnan.
Yunnan coffee producing area is located between 15 °north latitude and the Tropic of Cancer, and most areas are 1000-2000 meters above sea level. The topography is mainly mountainous and sloping, with large ups and downs, fertile soil, sufficient sunshine, rich rainfall and large temperature difference between day and night. These unique natural conditions form the particularity of Yunnan small-grain coffee taste, strong but not bitter, fragrant but not strong, slightly fruity.
Yunnan has always been the leader in domestic coffee cultivation, and the overall quality of its coffee is better than that of Brazilian coffee and similar to Colombian small-grain coffee. Liang Houfu, a famous news critic in the United States, wrote: "the best origin of coffee in the world is in Yunnan, and the coffee produced in Yunnan is very enjoyable to touch the tongue." The main coffee producing areas in the province are Baoshan, Dehong, Pu'er and Lincang.
Baoshan Lujiangba is a unique dry and hot valley climate in Yunnan Province and even the whole country, which is very suitable for the growth of coffee trees. Lujiangba is located at 98 °44 miles in east diameter and 25 °33 degrees in north latitude. It is located at the eastern foot of Gaoligong Mountain and on both sides of Nujiang River. It is 640m-3510 m above sea level. Most of the coffee growing areas are located in 800ml 1200m above sea level, and a few have been planted in areas about 1400 m above sea level.
Based on the unique resources of Lujiangba, we contacted the owner of the coffee plantation in advance and came to the old foundation coffee plantation.

With regard to Yunnan coffee, when recommending coffee, many people hear that "Yunnan coffee" will produce a kind of resistance. It is not as bright as the flower and fruit aroma and lively performance of African coffee. It also does not have the obvious nutty tone and full and round taste of Central and South American coffee. At the same time, due to some historical factors, the name Yunnan coffee often represents some not very good quality. But is Yunnan coffee really bad? I don't think so, because I have drunk some very amazing Yunnan coffee, which can also bring out the tropical fruit flavor, flower aroma and rich sweetness that we like very much.
