The Thiriku Cooperative, established in 2000, consists of six different villages and currently has about 1900 members. Located in the well-known Nyeri producing area of Kenya, close to the mountains of Mount Kenya, it is also an important boutique coffee producing area, with an average elevation of more than 1500 meters. A lot of good coffee is also produced in this area, with fertile red soil, excellent ecological environment and good coffee processing technology, making Nyeri an important coffee town in central Kenya.

The Thiriku cooperative is mainly tea farmers and coffee growers. What is interesting is that the coffee washing station is set up in the tea garden. The higher and lower temperature positions allow the washed coffee beans to have a longer fermentation time and dry time, thus forming coffee beans with good flavor.
