Coffee culture tasting coffee equals tasting life
A few days ago, the global coffee chain COSTA COFFEE released the latest research results. At least 9000 people were invited to participate in the global survey. Nearly half of the Shanghai researchers think that David Beckham and Tom Cruise, a pair of star friends, are the most tasteful people in the world. Hollywood diamond bachelor George Clooney came in second with 19% of the vote. Sexy mom Victoria Beckham came in third with 11% of the vote. Two popular idols, supermodel Kate Moss and Bollywood star Hilpa Shetti, unexpectedly scored only 7% and 3% of the vote.
The study focuses on assessing the huge impact of "taste" on our lives and the decisions we make. For example, more than half (56%) of Chinese researchers said they would seriously consider the other person's taste in clothing, music, art and diet before deciding whether to date him or her. Among them, the taste in clothing has the greatest impact on dating.
In addition, the survey produced a series of interesting comparisons, such as differences in taste and reality in people's childhood memories, and changes in understanding of books, art and music in different countries and regions. For example, 73% of Shanghainese think it is more important to have good taste in fashion and art than to have good taste in music, compared with 37% in Britain, which is much higher than 9% in Shanghai. The survey also found that 26 per cent of Shanghai researchers thought fruit was the first taste in their childhood memories, slightly lower than 38 per cent in Beijing, while 39 per cent in the UK thought milk was the first taste in their memories. In fact, in addition to the taste in memory, the research is also very interesting to explore the most unique taste. Some respondents in Shanghai believe that coffee is the most unique taste they have ever tried, which is the result of the popularity of coffee in the world, especially in China in recent years. Since the famous British brand COSTA COFFEE officially entered the Chinese market in 2006, COSTA COFFEE has rapidly covered many cities and opened more than 70 stores in a short period of 5 years. That is why nearly half (42%) of Chinese researchers associate coffee with the UK. At the same time, more than half of people (67%) associate chocolate with love, and nearly 1A4 (21%) associate champagne, red wine and romance.
"this survey shows that taste is extremely important to people-not only about diet, but also about other people's tastes in clothing, social circles and art. By comparing Shanghai's views on the tastes of other countries, and their views on Shanghai's tastes, we found very interesting results. " Mr. Qiu Zibao, General Manager of COSTA COFFEE Shanghai, said, "at COSTA COFFEE, we constantly pursue customer feedback and sum up ways to provide the best products and services, detailing every new drink and delicious snack or how to provide a comfortable environment for guests to enjoy. This survey is very useful to us because it allows us to think about the different needs of consumers in different countries and update the factors that affect these needs in a timely manner. "
