How much is Yinghong No. 9 black tea per jin? What is the authentic brand of Yingde black tea Yinghong 9?
This is one of our favorite Chinese black teas, and it is also the main variety in our tea cabinet. It is very exciting again in our tea traveler's choice (in a brief absence). Like many big-leaf black teas in China, the traditional view is that this kind of tea should not be drunk when it is very fresh, because the taste has no chance to blend.
As a result, this tea, which is still young, but not too fresh, now tastes good and should be able to drink for months (if carefully preserved, even years).
We are still enjoying a bag of this kind of tea, which we brought back when we traveled to Guangdong in the late 2000s. So you don't have to rush to drink this tea, but you may also have a difficult time to store aging, because it is so delicious now and in the near future!
Yingde 9 is a modern tea variety developed in Guangdong Province in the 1950s.
The leaf tea is made from fresh leaves of Yinghong 9, which was originally bred by the local Guangdong big-leaf tea tree and the robust Yunnan big-leaf tea variety Camellia sinensis assamica. These two varieties are also used to produce Pu'er tea, another Chinese tea variety that requires complexity, richness, good storage and increases with age.
Yingde No. 9 is a gorgeous long-leaf black tea with a large number of sharp (some contrasting colors), which competes with some of our Yunnan teas in appearance, aroma and overall style. Good "upbringing" = the taste of good tea; this cup of tea proves it!
In the 19th century, Guangdong produced some black tea for export to the West, but today, these small batches of local tea can hardly be found outside that part of China. The production of Yingde No. 9 provides tea lovers with a lovely, slightly fruity, non-astringent tea, and adds a "essence factor" that can not be matched by the old black tea. The production of Yingde 9 is still limited and we are always happy to have it. Moreover, the news that prices have remained unchanged for years is a mixed blessing.
This is an excellent tea to drink pure (pure) and those desired teas are smooth and not astringent. Like many Chinese black teas, it tastes sweet but not astringent. Yingde No. 9 has a good taste after several soaks.
If you like Golden Monkey Jian Tea, Bailin Tea, Phoenix Dancong Black Tea, Caramel Yunnan Tea such as Yunnan Royal Dianhong Jinya Tea, JD.com Wuliang Golden Silk Tea, etc., then you should try this kind of tea. In addition, lovers of Wuyishan and Fenghuangshan oolong teas will find that the leaves have the same taste characteristics as those of the slightly oxidized teas, and are so intoxicating. We can't guarantee how long the tea we just received will be in stock (we sold out early last year), so don't wait to order this lovely tea.
Drink this tea now, or follow our plan and put some of it on for a few years to ripen the taste and make it richer and more complex.
