What is the difference between Yunnan ancient tree Yunnan black tea and Pu'er? where is the authentic ancient tree black tea?
The ancient tree Dianhong is characterized by a strong aftertaste, which is far better than ordinary black tea.
Dianhong means Yunnan black tea
Yunnan black tea is called "Dianhong" in Chinese.
"Yunnan" means Yunnan, and "red" means black tea.
"Old tree" means a tea tree with a certain age. After all, "ancient tree Dianhong" refers to Yunnan black tea.
Black tea made from rare camellia trees, different from ordinary garden tea.
Generally speaking, Yunnan black tea and Yunnan black tea are produced in Fengqing County. The main producing area of Yunnan black tea is Fengqing County.
Fengqing County is dominated by the Han nationality, which is very rare, because other counties in Yunnan are generally ethnic minorities.
In Yunnan, ancient tea gardens composed of ancient tea trees often belong to ethnic minorities. They inherited it from their ancestors.

On the other hand, most Han Chinese have gardens made up of young tea trees. This is because they have not lived there as long as ethnic minorities. As a result, tea gardens in Fengqing are mostly made up of young tea trees and managed in a modern style, such as those in Japan, Taiwan, India or Sri Lanka. Tea is planted with chemical fertilizer and the tea tree is pruned regularly.
For these reasons, the aftertaste of Fengqing tea is generally light.
Black tea is made from the raw material of Pu'er tea.
We especially want to use an old tea tree to produce black tea. So we looked for a garden in a remote village near the Burmese border. The elevation of the garden is 2100-2200 meters. The garden belongs to the minority nationality, the Ye nationality. The tea garden uses the natural way, does not apply fertilizer, does not apply pesticide, does not prune tea tree.
Usually in Yunnan, tea garden owners prefer to use these high-quality tea to produce Pu'er tea, because the price of high-quality Pu'er tea is higher in the tea market.
After we inspected the tea garden, we bought fresh tea directly from the owner of the tea garden and gave it to the black tea manufacturer to process it into black tea.
The ancient tree Dianhong is made by Yunnan traditional black tea technology.
Standard Dianhong is made by rolling and intensive fermentation after a short period of withering.
Due to the short withering time, tea still contains high water content, and profound changes have taken place in the process of rolling, fermentation and enzyme oxidation.
Therefore, the brewed tea is copper red.

It has a mild taste and a soft taste. Many people think that black tea is astringent. They may be surprised by the soft taste and sweet aftertaste of this standard old tree Dianhong.
Because this kind of tea ferments well, it has a bold feeling to drink, and it goes well with milk. Milk enhances its natural sweetness and tastes like dessert.
Another interesting feature of this kind of tea is its taste. Tea is vulnerable to planthoppers because it does not use any pesticides or fertilizers during its cultivation. Because of this, it has a soft taste of honey. We also call it musk wine.
Because of its strong fermentation, it also has the taste of menthol or brown sugar.
Tea is picked at an early age. Therefore, its taste is soft and mild.
We use a bud and two leaves to make it soft and creamy to drink.
