Assam tea is a hybrid of primitive tea trees.

However, what you may not know is that the tea produced in Assam is very different from that in other areas, that is, the tea trees in Assam are different from those in other producing areas. The method of making CTC tea was invented by William William McKercher in Assam in the 1930s.
CTC tea is generally commercial grade tea, through the CTC tea-making method, the tea has to go through several cylindrical rollers. These rollers have sharp teeth that can crush, tear and roll up tea leaves, turning them into small, hard particles with a strong taste and suitable for making tea bags. By the late 1950s, Sir William McChell's method had become an outstanding manufacturing technology around the world.
Assam tea is usually sold as breakfast tea.
Due to the low altitude in Assam, the locally produced tea is full-bodied and refreshing, with malt flavor and bright color. These features make it especially suitable for drinking in the morning and can be mixed with milk for breakfast. And the aroma and taste of Assam tea, coupled with the breakfast food, add to the hierarchy of the meal. Therefore, Assam tea is a famous breakfast tea in the world, which is usually used as a blending option in English breakfast tea, Irish breakfast tea and other blended teas.

Assam Tea Garden follows its own time.
Because India spans a wide range of longitudes and actually has multiple time zones, the northeast region usually receives the baptism of sunlight earlier. The Indian government has not taken any specific measures on the time zone, while Assam has used its own time zone for more than 150 years. The time zone has two names, "chai bagan time" and "tea garden time", which originated from the British colonial rulers. The adoption of this time makes the local tea garden in Assam more fully manage the day's work and rest.
Assam's local tea trees came earlier than colonialism.
Tea was planted and used in Assam even before Scottish explorer Robert Bruce discovered the Assam variety of tea. The Singpho tribe in Assam grows the plant, and the local tribe brews the plant's leaves to produce strong, aromatic drinks. In fact, it was Bessa Gam, the leader of the Singpho tribe, who showed Rober Bruce the plant in 1823. With regard to Assam tea, this is a noteworthy fact, which shows that all records in the history of Indian tea should not be owned by the East India Company.
