When it comes to coffee, who hasn't tasted it, but when it comes to Kenyan coffee, the first thing that comes to mind is the sour taste, which excites people who like it, makes people who don't love frown deeply, and for coffee makers (like us, for example) also have some heavy eyebrows.

Why? Because Kenya coffee is really good, in terms of quality, almost every coffee industry will want to launch one or two Kenyan boutique coffee, and even try to find some Kenyan coffee that is less sour or even sweet. However, the word "Kenya" is like a spell, except for a small group of loyal enthusiasts, other people will skip when they see Kenya and go directly to find other Ethiopian coffee. But in fact, this sweet and sour taste is very popular in Europe, today we will introduce some interesting varieties of coffee about Kenyan coffee beans!

SL28 and SL34 are varieties bred by Scott Laboratories laboratory in 1930s. SL28 has French missionaries, mochas and Yemens, while SL34 has French missionaries, bourbon and Tibica pedigree, with a stronger flavor than SL28, with a flavor similar to Wumei and a sweet tail.

In recent years, more and more varieties with better disease resistance, such as Ruiru-11,K7, have emerged. However, as mentioned earlier in Kenya, most of the exports are made by small farmers after receiving and processing plants, and most of the batches are harvested by mixed varieties, so it is absolutely rare to encounter batches of a single variety.
