For Darjeeling Tea, I often tell people what kind of tea is brewed. For some reason, the word "tea season" makes people feel big, just like "this is picked in Darjeeling's second tea season". Now when I say "season", people tend to know right away. Therefore, if I say "this kind of Darjeeling Tea was picked in the summer", people tend to be more excited about this kind of tea, even though the two words have exactly the same meaning. So, to help bridge the language gap, here is a quick guide to the different Darjeeling tides and their corresponding seasons.

The first round: Darjeeling spring tea from March to April is one of the most popular and expensive teas in the world. Because they are picked in early spring, the leaves contain all the nutrients that plants store during hibernation. They often have a subtle taste and must be drunk within a few months after picking. Therefore, you can only drink Darjeeling's first flushing beer before July at the latest. This "fresh factor" is why we only offer this in our in-house tea club.

The second round: from May to June, in my opinion, second-rate Darjeeling tastes the best. Because they are picked in summer, the leaves are more mature at that time, so the taste is more obvious. Good summer tea will have a strong taste of citrus fruit, which is often called "musk".

Monsoon: July to September this is the rainy season in Darjeeling. Many people think that this kind of flushing is the worst of all flushes, because the tea absorbs a lot of water, which usually gives them a dull taste.

Autumn picking: Darjeeling from October to November is the thickest of all tea seasons because of the cool and dry weather. The tea soup of these teas also has a little Muscat flavor and is very popular in summer picking tea, but it is usually cheaper in autumn.

In conclusion, don't let the word "tea season" confuse you. All it does is let you know when the tea is picked. Once you know this, it's best to try each season's tea to see which one you like best, because each black tea has its own unique characteristics.
