Iced Black Tea's two production methods share the taste of iced tea brewed in cold water and hot water.
Everyone has their own way of making iced tea at home. With so much information and different tips and tips, it's easy to get lost and overwhelmed. Let's simplify the process for you, because making tea is as simple as combining tea, water and time. We will analyze these elements to help you determine which brewing method is best in each case. The difference between cold brewing and hot brewing iced tea can be brewed in hot water (then cooled) or in cold water for a period of time. In order to better navigate and understand the differences between them, we will review each method of making iced tea as follows: the step-by-step method of making iced tea is most suitable for each kind of tea, when to use which brewing method is suitable for your situation in our tea-making guide, we use bulk tea and whole-leaf tea, but bagged tea also applies here. It's easy to brew tea in cold water: 10 grams of loose leaf tea and 1 liter of filtered water. Pour 10 grams of tea into a large covered pot and pour 1 liter of room temperature filtered water. Stir to make sure the tea is immersed in water. Cover and refrigerate for 8 to 24 hours. Strain the tea into a water jar or glass (optional with ice). For this approach, we prefer Hario cold tea bottles, which have a built-in filter that allows us to use bulk tea without the need for a separate filter and to make the process as simple as possible. Because this coffee maker is beautiful and has a built-in filter, you can use it directly to serve wine. This cold brewing method is like making sun tea, but it takes a long time to soak at a lower brewing temperature. Making tea without electricity may seem attractive, but it may be harmful to your health. Refrigerating the tea when making tea can prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and does not need ice, so the taste of the tea will be diluted. As a sweetener, we recommend using tequila or honey instead of sugar if necessary, because they dissolve more easily.
Most teas that are most suitable for cold brewing can be brewed cold, but we recommend something tastier because drinking tea at very low temperatures limits our nose's perception of aroma. The lighter and more grassy oolong teas we recommend are Baozhong Oolong Tea and Mannashan Oolong Tea, both of which are also floral. If you like fruit and sweet things (natural)-Oriental beauty and Tieguanyin are great choices. In terms of herbs, we recommend wild chrysanthemum because its flowers are very sweet. Cold Chong iced tea tastes more delicate, it is recommended to drink the original iced tea.

There are two hot brewing methods for making iced tea: one is to brew in batches with a large amount, and the other is customized to customers. Bulk brewing: proportion: 10 grams of bulk tea and 1 liter of filtered water put 10 grams of tea into a large pot with a lid (preferably a glass) and pour 1 liter of hot (195 °F-212 °F) filtered water. Close the lid. * the brewing temperature depends on the type of tea. Brew for 5 minutes. Pour all the tea into another pitcher and cool at room temperature for 30 minutes. Then put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Or leave it at room temperature for 2-3 hours until room temperature is reached. Drink with ice. Small batch brewing ratio: 6 grams of bulk tea & 8 ounces of filtered water + 4 ounces of ice (12 ounces per serving) heat the teapot or your favorite container with boiling water and pour 8 grams of tea into your tea container and pour 8 ounces of hot (195 °F-212 °F) filtered water. Lid * the brewing temperature depends on the tea brewing for 5 minutes. Fill a large empty cup with 4 ounces of ice (or about 9 ice cubes from a typical ice maker) and filter all the tea into the glass if it is the second serving. Repeat steps 2-6, but increase the cooking time to 10 minutes. This brewing method uses a lot of ice, so make sure that the water quality of ice cubes is as good as that of tea. Stale ice or poor water ice will dilute the taste of good iced tea. The hot brewing method uses a little more tea to adapt to the dilution caused by melting ice. The type of tea and how to serve it. All kinds of tea can be boiled and served with ice. Drinking iced tea will reduce its aroma expression, and the flavor will be softer. Stronger tea is recommended here. Our favorite is Tieguanyin.
If you choose hot brewing, we also recommend you to try shaking tea. Shake tea in a cocktail mixer with ice to create a layer of tea-scented foam. Don't use straws when drinking, so you can enjoy the foam. The effect of cold iced tea is not ideal compared with hot iced tea.
