What are the rules of Ethiopia's 2020 COE Yega Xuefei ranking competition?
COE will be held for the first time in Ethiopia in 2020. COE will be held in coffee bean producing areas every year. ACE, a non-profit organization, will hold COE in each country. The professional jury will select the first 40 batches with more than 6 points from thousands of batches to enter the international jury. The first 30 batches with more than 87 points will be selected to win COE and enter the global online auction.
COE Ethiopia 2020 Due to COVID-19, the competition rules have been adjusted, that is, the top 150 selected after the preliminary round did not stay in Ethiopia for follow-up cup testing, but brought to Portland, USA. In addition, at the international review stage, each international review is conducted in its own credible laboratory, rather than the traditional international review of all international reviews. However, COE rules will be followed during the process, including blind testing.
Congratulations to COE Fine Coffee for completing its first competition in Ethiopia. The international online auction will be held on June 25. Hope you have the opportunity to drink the competition batch!
The first COE Ethiopia brought a lot of surprises, everyone familiar Yirgacheffe (Yirgacheffe) only won 3 places in the final 28 wins, and did not enter the top 10; the top 3 is rarely heard.
