Can you believe this is the pop-up shop where Blue bottle Coffee opens in Space 2 on the 2nd floor of Scramble Square in Shibuya? James Freeman, founder of the Blue bottle Coffee brand, revealed that he wanted to create a seamless cafe experience with this beehive-like warm image.

On November 19th, Blue bottle Japan released POP UP Space's Blue bottle Cafe, a locker-style coffee shop, on ins.

According to officials, the flash project is located in the same building. The second floor is for the transition of the POP UP project, here is mainly to experience products as the focus, selling related peripheral products. And this time the surrounding products in addition to coffee cups, coffee beans and other conventional products, there are surprise cookies, Blue Bottle x Cody Hudson decorations and so on.

More than 60 items will be on sale, including the Blue Bottle Coffee Holiday Gift Collection 2021, which goes on sale on November 9th. This series of products are designed by artist Cody Hudson to integrate elements such as collection group, coffee filter cup, coffee bean and so on. The holiday limited blue bottle instant coffee set is a key product. The set contains instant coffee and Japanese century-old sponge cake brand Castella.

It is reported that this is the blue bottle brand's first flash project and the world's first pop-up cafe with a locker system to allow customers to order and pick up drinks in busy Shibuya.

The third floor is the focus of this pop-up store. Opposite the honeycomb coffee shop, Blue bottle Coffee introduces a beverage ordering terminal where guests can order through the menu displayed on the touch screen. The menu offers 10 drinks (hot ice) as well as pastries to match the drink. After ordering, the barista prepares freshly made coffee at the back of the locker, reminding the guest that the order has been completed when the designated unit of the dedicated locker lights up.

The exclusive locker of this pop-up store is designed by Schema Architectural Planning, which focuses on interior design, commercial architecture and hotel architecture. Recently, the interior design of Hong Kong Central Cafe with Blue bottle Coffee has been completed. The flash store system is designed and built by New Innovations, which is understood to be a software company composed of more than 80 software developers, QA analysts, architects and engineers.

The business of the Blue bottle Coffee Flash Store is based on the vision of "industry-wide unmanned". Create an original system that connects guests and baristas to achieve a seamless coffee experience. Make full use of thermal intelligence and Internet of things technology, take automation as the core, achieve full integration online and offline through the construction of hardware manufacturing and software, and promote development in various fields.

As soon as the news was sent out, netizens exploded. Many people are surprised by this type of cafe, believing that locker-type cafes can largely avoid direct contact between people during a pandemic.

Currently, officials say the pop-up store will last from December 1, 2021 to February 15, 2022, and is open from 10:00 to 21:00. But there is also a reminder that business hours may be changed according to government and local government guidelines and announcements because of the epidemic.

In fact, this unmanned type of coffee shop is similar to the robot coffee shop previously reported in the coffee workshop, except that Blue bottle chooses people to make coffee, leaving the ordering task to the system.

Blue bottle coffee is known as the existence of a boutique coffee textbook bar, which has caused many imitation effects from decoration to production. I wonder if this uninhabited coffee shop will be imitated again.
